New Heritage Art Sessions

Following on from our successful art sessions in the previous period, PBO are now delivering a further block of art classes focusing on the Heritage of the Parklea/Kelburn area. This has allowed for previous participants to continue to develop their skills as well as new participants to get involved. Not only do these sessions focus on artwork, utilising different mediums such as paint, pencil, chalk and digital art, but they also have a strong focus on the history of the area.

Participants have been carrying out research on the Parklea area of the past, with their findings forming the basis of their artwork. In addition, the group are also looking to collaborate on a large mural where everyone involved will contribute to its creation, with this being displayed as part of our upcoming Heritage Exhibition.
